Valuing the culture of learning, innovation and community, the Bayan Family of Foundations (BFF) aims to provide a platform for its team and networks to explore, deepen and share their skills and knowledge in development work towards realizing BFF's vision and mission.
Thus, BIG is spearheading the Bayan Fellows Program with these objectives:
- to expand the capacity and innovation culture of BFF through a community of professional researchers, consultants, and educators
- to nurture the community of Bayan Fellows through a sustained learning exchange between them and the BFF ecosystem
The components of the program are:
- Bayan Fellows: This group includes BFF's experienced consultants and educators. They will be provided with opportunities to establish and strengthen their networks with the BFF community. The program will also be an avenue for Fellows to mentor Junior Consultants and to share their knowledge and experiences with BFF.
- Junior Consultants: This group includes the management trainees of BIG, who are entry-level development workers. BIG aims to provide opportunities for them to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to create positive impact and contribute to nation-building through immersion in BFF and its initiatives. At the end of the 6-month management and training program, the junior consultants may be offered full-time work within BFF or consultancy opportunities as part of the roster of Fellow consultants.
- Student Internship: This is a short-term engagement for university students. They will be given the chance to assist in BFF projects and attend learning sessions.
- Development Sector Immersion: This program is for professionals from other sectors who would like to experience life in the development sector. It is a short-term, volunteer opportunity where they can contribute their skills in BFF initiatives.
