DHL, a leverage partner in the eTrade Alliance, has a longstanding presence in the Philippines in providing commercial logistics and shipping services to SMEs, as well as developing and disseminating training programs and support services to SMEs looking to engage in cross-border trade.
To further support SME engagement in cross-border trade, DHL Global has developed the GoTrade SME development program and curriculum that they would like to roll out in conjunction with DHL Philippines’ existing SME engagement activities.
In preparation for DHL GoTrade’s launch, the eTrade Alliance, in collaboration with Bayan Innovation Group, will assist DHL in assessing the specific needs of Philippine SMEs and ensure a tailored approach to the implementation of the GoTrade curriculum and DHL Philippines country-specific activities. This will entail segmenting Philippine SMEs along various stages of e-commerce development, as well as looking at specific e-commerce sectors and geographies within the Philippines with high cross-border, e-commerce potential and high demand for broad and tailored e-commerce training.
DHL's partnership with the eTrade Alliance and their commitment to supporting SMEs in cross-border trade demonstrate their dedication to fostering economic growth and development in the Philippines. With the assistance of the eTrade Alliance and Bayan Innovation Group, DHL will be able to assess the specific needs of Philippine SMEs and ensure the effective implementation of the GoTrade curriculum. Together, DHL and the eTrade Alliance are paving the way for increased cross-border e-commerce and driving economic opportunities for SMEs in the Philippines.
