The Grassroots Entrepreneurship and Management (GEM) Program is a grassroots-level entrepreneurship training program patterned after Bayan Academy's Master in Entrepreneurship program. GEM is intended for grassroots entrepreneurs, mainly: Low-income class households and most likely have only received very basic formal education in their lives; Entrepreneurs with small livelihood activities or those that are transitioning into becoming micro entrepreneurs; and Enterprises at the pre-commercial level of operations or micro-enterprises that wish to scale up.
The core topics of the GEM Program include the following: (1) Entrepreneur in Heart and Mind; Entrepreneurial Being and Becoming, (2) Entrepreneurial Mindset; Creating a Personal Vision, (3) Personal Wealth Management; Personal Finance, (4) External Assessment, (5) Internal Assessment, (6) Marketing Management and Operations Management, (7) Human Resources Management, and (8) Financial Management.
In the past, the GEM Program has been co-delivered with partner corporate foundations, NGOs, microfinance institutions, and government agencies, with a number of GEM trainers having been trained and accredited to teach the program in various regions across the country.
