“By thinking strategically, leaders can anticipate changes in the business environment, develop plans to achieve their goals, and position their organizations for long-term success.” - Trishia Alindada, of CEP Batch 4, on her learnings from RAMCAR’s Cadet Engineering Program
Eighteen cadets from Philippine Batteries Incorporated (PBI) and Food Groups (FG) successfully completed their final Revalida for the Cadet Engineering Program (CEP) on March 20-21, 2023. These cadets make up the fourth batch of the CEP, which is implemented by Bayan Innovation Group (BIG) for RAMCAR.
Over a rigorous six months of management training, the cadets worked on various projects, ranging from battery formation to the improvement of frozen goods. Each cadet zeroed in on an issue encountered during their on-the-job exposure, and worked to develop solutions as their CEP projects. The cadets were guided by mentors from their respective departments and Prof. Carlo Sagun, CEP Batch 4 Guru and Executive Director of BIG.
There are three Revalidas over the course of the CEP. These presentations are an opportunity for the cadets to showcase their project implementation results and to share their reflections on their personal journey throughout the program. Batch 4’s first Revalida was held in November 2022, and the second was held in February 2023. The third and final Revalida, which also serves as a culminating activity to the CEP, was facilitated by Prof. Carlo Sagun. Joining him on Day 1 were Pabby Artillero, Deputy Operations Head of PBI; Yuri Asuncion, Automation and Commissioning Head of RAMCAR Technology Inc. (RTI); Fernan Acuna, Plant Maintenance Head of PBI; and Thaddeus Manuel, Production Planning & Inventory Control Head of RTI. Day 2’s panel was led by Prof. Carlo Sagun, Alex Españo, Strat Planning & Finance Manager of PBI, and Arkhangel T. Clasara, Senior Formator of PBI.
Following the successful outcome of the final Revalida, RAMCAR will hold its CEP Batch 4 graduation ceremony in May 2023. Cheers to the graduates!
The CEP was first implemented by Bayan Academy in 2018, and is now delivered by Bayan Innovation Group, in partnership with RAMCAR. The six-month training program is designed to enhance the cadets’ technical knowledge, as well as their critical thinking and business management skills.
