Bayan Innovation Group (BIG) and RAMCAR Academy have jointly launched the Basic Leadership Development Program (BLDP). The BLDP was customized by BIG for the RAMCAR Group, which places prime value in nurturing leadership potential and empowering its team members.
The partnership for the BLDP was formed following the successful conclusion of the third and fourth batches of BIG X RAMCAR’s Cadet Engineering Program (CEP). While the CEP functions as a Management Training program for new recruits of the RAMCAR Group, the BLDP is designed for team members with company tenure between 8 months to 18 years, who have shown potential to take on greater management and leadership roles. The BLDP covers three modules: Core Competencies, Leadership Competencies, and Business Competencies, through which participants level up their technical skills and their management and leadership competencies.
With a blended learning approach, the BLDP combines synchronous and asynchronous sessions to accommodate participants' work-life schedules. Synchronous sessions facilitate real-time interactions and collaborative learning, while asynchronous sessions cover course preparation and assignments for their Learning by Doing projects.
A key highlight of the program is the Coaching component, where resident coaches from BIG work with the BLDP participants in applying their learning towards effective management and leadership in their roles within RAMCAR.
Module 1: Core Competencies for the pioneer batch of the BLDP kicked off on June 22 at RAMCAR's Sta Maria, Bulacan Plant. This module spans seven training days and will run until August 2023. Face-to-face classes are one full day, once a week, allowing participants to continue in their organizational roles. The third module of the BLDP will culminate in December 2023.
